Overdraw your stamina and you will stand there with nothing left, watching the arm come down.Ten stages that do not repeat — From the Ashen Parish to the Empty Throne, by way of the Mourning Fields, the Drowned Catacombs and the Furnace of Names. Each stage branches after its second floor — an upper way or a lower way — and they meet again before the guardian's fog gate.The vigil is the only mercy — There is no autosave. A vigil restores you and records your journey, and raises every foe you killed to do it again. Vigils burn on three floors of a stage and nowhere else, so every step past one is a wager. Die and your souls stay where you fell; your last seconds replay as a red phantom over the bloodstain.
